Black Russian Cake
1 package yellow cake mix (no pudding)
1/2 cup sugar
1 (6 oz) package instant chocolate pudding
1 cup vegetables oil
4 eggs
1/4 cup vodka
1/4 cup Kahlua
3/4 cup water
Grease and flour a 12 cup Bundt pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, combine everything. Mix on low speed 1 minute. Mix on medium speed 4 minutes. Pour in pan.Bake until cake tests done with toothpick coming out clean, about 60 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes in pan. While cooling, make glaze.
1/2 cup powdered sugar 1/4 cup Kahlua Mix together (I always double the glaze). Invert cake on to serving plate. Poke holes all over cake with large toothpick and pour glaze all over cake.Dust the cake with sifted powdered sugar after the glaze is really cool. For a Valentine twist,fill the center and edges with cherry pie filling. This cake tastes great the longer it sits. Chances are it won't be sitting around very long! |
